01 / PRODUCT ENGINEERING

Live product

TheMoneyMap.

A clearer way to see money that usually lives in separate places.

I built a personal finance platform that brings credit card transactions, budgets, investments, debt, and net worth into a connected view.

THE CHALLENGE

One financial picture, many disconnected records.

Statements show transactions. Budgets show plans. Assets and liabilities show position. TheMoneyMap brings those views together so a person can move from an individual entry to a broader understanding of their finances.

THE PRODUCT DECISIONS

Built around review and clarity.

01 / INPUT

Import, then verify.

Credit card PDF and CSV statement import is paired with a transaction review step, so extracted dates, merchants, amounts, and categories can be corrected.

02 / CONNECTION

Keep records related.

Transactions can link to assets or liabilities, including investment contributions and repayments, to connect day-to-day activity with account balances.

03 / PERSPECTIVE

Make the month readable.

Monthly views bring spending, income, budgets, investments, and net worth into the same product rather than scattering them across tools.

CURRENT STATE

A live product, still being refined.

The public product opens to sign-in because its financial views belong to each account. The illustration above uses no personal financial data.
